RAFFLES brings the natural character of bamboo into a dining chair shaped around the way we sit and lean.
The seat and backrest are formed as a continuous curved structure using heat-pressed bamboo. Viewed from the front and above, their gentle, smile-like curves are shaped to create a comfortable surface for sitting and resting against.
As you lean back, the continuous seat-and-back structure allows the backrest to respond with a subtle natural flex, bringing a softer sense of movement to the sitting experience without adding mechanical components.
The left and right leg structures are also shaped through heat-pressing, allowing bamboo curves to define the chair from its supporting frame to the seat and backrest. The result is a dining chair where material, structure, and comfort are shaped together.
