A small architectural rhythm for the everyday desk.
ORSON turns an everyday pen holder into a quiet object for the desk. Four heat-pressed bamboo arches are arranged in sequence, creating a rhythmic form reminiscent of a small architectural structure.
As light passes between the arches, changing shadows become part of the design, giving the piece a different presence throughout the day. Even when holding only a few pens—or none at all—the repeating bamboo curves remain a distinctive element on the desk.
Nine openings are formed between the bamboo arches, while the three upper positions offer a particularly balanced way to keep a few favorite pens close at hand. Rather than filling every available space, ORSON is designed to bring a sense of order without losing the openness of its form.
Beneath the light bamboo structure, a fabric-covered metal base adds weight and helps the holder remain grounded on the desk.
