POMP Pedal Trash Bin

Some objects are simply part of everyday life. POMP rethinks the familiar pedal trash bin through Gudee’s characteristic combination of bamboo and fabric, giving a purely functional object a softer and more natural presence in the home.

Rather than relying on the metal hinges and fittings commonly found in pedal bins, POMP builds its structure around bamboo, fabric, and board. The result is a lighter expression that feels less mechanical and more at home among the materials and textures of everyday living spaces.

A foot pedal allows the lid to open without using your hands. The lightweight, fabric-covered lid opens and closes with very little noise, without the need for metal hinges or hardware. Its inner fabric surface is laminated to help resist dirt and make everyday care easier.

Inside, a removable bucket can be lifted out separately for convenient emptying and cleaning.

Designed primarily for dry household waste, POMP fits naturally beside a dressing table, in a bedroom or workspace, or beside the toilet in a dry, well-ventilated bathroom. As its outer structure is made with bamboo, fabric, and board, it should be kept away from direct water contact and persistently damp environments.

Available in two sizes, POMP offers a softer alternative to the conventional waste bin—one that feels considered enough to remain visible as part of the room.
